This 13-day birding and wildlife expedition explores three of Brazil’s most important ecosystems: the Pantanal, the South Amazon Forest, and the Cerrado of Chapada dos Guimarães.
The journey combines safari drives, boat excursions, forest walks, and night outings in search of an extraordinary diversity of birds and wildlife. A major highlight is Porto Jofre, where two full days are dedicated to exploring the Cuiabá River in search of jaguars, Giant Otters, and other wildlife.
The trip then continues into the South Amazon Forest, with opportunities to see Amazonian specialties such as macaws, antbirds, Amazonian Umbrellabird, and the rare Cone-billed Tanager, before finishing in the Cerrado landscapes of Chapada dos Guimarães.
It is a diverse and active expedition focused on birding, wildlife observation, photography, and experiencing some of central Brazil’s most remarkable natural habitats.
