He uses ancestral knowledge instead of playback, always keeping respectful distance. Father of two lovely children, fluent in Kichwa, Spanish, and English.
Based in Ecuador, Celso leads nature and culture expeditions across the Andes, Amazon, and Galápagos. Winner of the 2024 Sumner-Thoren “Best Trip Leader in the World” award (OAT/Grand Circle). He combines scientific knowledge with emotional storytelling, inspiring travelers to connect with nature ethically and deeply.
With over 19 years of experience, naturalist and ornithologist Edwin Pérez has guided travelers through Ecuador’s most iconic ecosystems, from the Amazon to Maquipucuna and the Galápagos. Fluent in English and Spanish, he identifies birds by sight and song, offering small groups intimate, meaningful journeys deeply connected to Ecuador’s wild nature.
