This journey has been designed for travelers who wish to experience Ecuador’s remarkable cultural and natural diversity through historic cities, indigenous traditions, cloud forest landscapes, scenic hikes, volcanic lakes, high-altitude ecosystems, and traditional cuisine.
The itinerary begins in Quito, where participants will explore the city’s historic and cultural highlights. Early in the journey, travelers will visit the spectacular landscapes of Cotopaxi National Park, home to one of the world’s highest active volcanoes. The program then continues toward the northwestern cloud forest of Mindo, with visits to the Equator, the Pululahua volcanic crater, waterfalls, and a traditional chocolate experience.
From Mindo, the journey travels into Ecuador’s northern Andes to discover internationally renowned rose plantations, indigenous communities, traditional cooking, the Otavalo Market, and the volcanic landscapes of Cuicocha Lake.
The final section of the itinerary introduces participants to the high-altitude páramo ecosystems of the Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve and the relaxing thermal waters of Papallacta, providing a memorable conclusion to this Ecuadorian experience.
Whenever possible, the program includes consecutive nights in the same destination, reducing the number of hotel changes and allowing participants to enjoy a more comfortable pace.
All hiking activities may be adjusted according to weather conditions, trail conditions, altitude, and the physical abilities of the group.
Upon arrival at Quito’s Mariscal Sucre International Airport, participants will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Depending on the arrival time, the remainder of the day will be available for resting and beginning the acclimatization process.
