OVERVIEW

This 7-day / 6-night Pantanal expedition combines two of Brazil’s most important wildlife regions: the Southern Pantanal and the Northern Pantanal.

The journey begins in Campo Grande, with a transfer to Refúgio da Ilha Lodge, where travelers spend several days exploring the Southern Pantanal through activities such as jeep safaris, canoeing, hiking, boat safaris on the Salobra River, and horseback riding.

The trip then continues to Cuiabá and Porto Jofre, traveling along the iconic Transpantaneira before reaching the Northern Pantanal. Here, the experience focuses on boat safaris and wildlife observation, with special attention to the search for jaguars and other iconic Pantanal species.

It is a focused wildlife expedition designed for travelers who want to experience the Pantanal in depth, combining different landscapes, ecosystems, and some of the best wildlife-viewing opportunities in Brazil.

Day 1 – Arrival in Campo Grande

Morning: Arrival at Campo Grande Airport, Mato Grosso do Sul.

Transfer: Meet with the guide and transfer to Refúgio da Ilha Lodge (230 km, approximately
3h30).

Lunch: Stop for lunch along the way.

Afternoon: Arrival at the lodge at the end of the day, check-in, and relaxation.

Activity: Enjoy a sunset overlooking the Pantanal.

Day 2 – Activities at Refúgio da Ilha Lodge

Activities Offered by the Lodge:

• Jeep safari
• Canoeing
• Hiking through the Pantanal fields
• Boat safari on the Salobra River
• Horseback riding

Note: The logistics and order of activities will be coordinated by the lodge’s team based on weather conditions.

Day 3 – Activities at Refúgio da Ilha Lodge

Activities Offered by the Lodge:

• Jeep safari
• Canoeing
• Hiking through the Pantanal fields
• Boat safari on the Salobra River
• Horseback riding

Note: The logistics and order of activities will be coordinated by the lodge’s team based on weather conditions.

Days 4 – Transfer to Cuiabá

Morning: Breakfast at the lodge.
Transfer: Transfer to Campo Grande Airport for the flight to Cuiabá.
Overnight: Check-in at a hotel in Cuiabá.

Day 5 – Transfer to Porto Jofre

Morning: Early breakfast at the hotel in Cuiabá.
Transfer: Travel along the iconic Transpantaneira (245 km, approximately 5 to 6 hours).
Afternoon: Arrival at Porto Jofre and boarding a speedboat for 30 minutes to the Natureza Boat Hotel.
Lunch: Lunch on board.
Activity: Afternoon boat safari to explore the Pantanal in search of majestic jaguars and other local wildlife.
Evening: Dinner and overnight stay on the Natureza Boat Hotel.

Day 6 – Full Day Boat Safari

Activity: Full day of boat safari for wildlife observation and interactions in the enchanting Pantanal biome.

Days 7 – Departure

• Breakfast on the boat.
• Jaguar Safari
• Lunch
• Transfer: Return transfer to Cuiabá Airport (expected arrival by 3 PM).
• End of services.
